The Southeastern Alliance for Spaceports ("SEAS," "we," "us," or "our") is a regional coalition organized to align policy, infrastructure, and economic strategy for commercial spaceflight across the Southeastern United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through seaspaceports.org (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information directly from you only when you voluntarily submit it through the contact form on this Site. The contact form asks for the following information:
- Your full name
- Your organization or affiliation
- Your email address
- Your stakeholder type (e.g., Industry, Government, Academic, Media, Other)
- The contents of your message to us
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as financial account numbers, government identification numbers, or health information) through the Site.
2. How We Use Your Information
Information submitted through the contact form is used solely to respond to your inquiry and to communicate with you about the subject of your submission. We do not use information collected through the contact form for advertising, marketing unrelated to your inquiry, or profiling, and we do not sell, rent, or trade this information to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not share the information you submit with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We do rely on a limited number of third-party service providers solely to operate the contact form and deliver your message to us, including a secure database provider to store submissions and an email delivery provider to route your message to our staff. These providers process information only as necessary to perform these functions on our behalf and are not authorized to use it for any other purpose.
We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
4. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions only for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and to maintain a reasonable record of communications with SEAS stakeholders. If you would like us to delete information you have submitted, you may contact us using the information below and we will honor your request except where retention is required by law.
5. Cookies and Automated Data Collection
This Site does not use cookies or third-party analytics or advertising trackers to profile visitors. Our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and access times) for security and infrastructure purposes; this information is not linked to contact form submissions or used to identify individual visitors.
6. Children's Privacy
This Site is intended for state agencies, launch operators, research institutions, economic development organizations, media, and other professional stakeholders. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information you provide from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You may decline to submit information through the contact form; doing so will only limit our ability to respond to you directly. You may also contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to request a correction, or to request deletion, as described in Section 4.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Effective date" above indicates when this policy was last revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
